THE ENGLISH CLASS

Well, This post its not only about the blog experience, its about the English class, because a classmate explained me, but I’m not understand well the instructions, sorry¡¡¡ only right now, reviewing the blog of Simon, I realized about this situation, but is interesting too¡¡
When I was child, in the school I had like seven hours per week of English class, but always interested to me this language. But when I came to study to this University at 2003, I didn’t have any class of English, and for that reason I couldn’t practice my English all this time.
On June I went to Europe, and in this trip, I needed to talk in English in many countries, so I understand that I must to improve my English quickly. At the beginning of this semester, I asked to Simon about this class, and here I am. First, I have to say that this course was really good for me¡ I meet a lot of people from another classes and levels, of architecture an design, and also I did more friends. I think that this system of writing in the blog, about different things and topics, gave me the chance to learn a lot, and improve my English writing, because if you’re all weeks posted something, finally you write the summaries fluently. In class, we practice our “oral skills”, having conversations with our classmates, and we read different texts about technology, architecture and other daily news. Sometimes, in the computers we put the ear phones, and we listened videos. About the teacher, Simon, I have to say that he’s very nice with us, he always talk us in his “British English”, and help us with any doubt. Also he had various activities all the classes, including a movie (blade runner).
I know that I need to learn more, because its very important “be update” and practice continuously our English. For this reason I hope that on the next semester, I could participate in this or in another course, to continue practicing.

ARCHITECTURE IS NEW WAY TO CONNECT THE WORLD

I see the video of Thom Mayne about architecture. He is an architect, and he has a studio names “Morphosis”. He started talking about the new kinds of landscapes and environments. He thinks that the Architecture is an investigation of multiplicity of forces to create something, a building, a city, etc, and the relationship between the space and the buildings. He also talks about the importance of the “skin of the building”, and he compared this with the skin of the body. He said too, that if we dream with built something, or develop some system, we only have to do it. I really agree with this, and I think that all of us must have a big ideal in our lifes, related to our careers or other thing, and work every day for reach it. If the ideal is almost impossible, better because we will try hard and we are going to valuing more our results.

LAPIZ SCRIPTO PAGE

I visited the blog of Carmina Arcos. The name of the blog is "Lapiz Scripto". I think that’s a funny name, I want to know why she put that name to the blog, maybe she like to paint with that pencils, or just put any name to her blog. There are 7 posts in her blog, and the most entertaining for me is “The city of the future, no thanks”. It’s very interesting how she approached the theme, from an urbanism perspective, talking about relationships behind the habitants and their city. The other post that I liked was the comment about my page, I laughed a lot, especially because we talk about my blog, and I say her that I don’t like me. I like a lot too the wallpaper of her blog, because I don’t have one, my wallpaper is just white. I knew Carmina in first year, we had classes together, and I think that she’s a very good person.

MY FAVORITE PIECE OF TECHNOLOGY

MY DIGITAL CAMERA ¡

I have my camera since June of this year. I bought it for travel to Europe, and I take a lot of pictures of different places. Then I discovered that I like a lot take pictures, of places, friends, parties, etc. I use it when I do a trip, when I'm with my friends, in parties, and that’s it maybe once a week. I have to recharge batteries once every two weeks, but I have rechargeable batteries. I like a lot because I can take with me everywhere, and take a memory of different situations of my life. I save all of my photos in my computer (my second best piece of technology), but now there’s a lot of websites where you con save your photos. I save my photos in my facebook, which is like blogspot but with more memory and you can save your photos very fast.

Well, my life without my camera would be boring, because when I am old, I won't have memories of my life.

My favorite website is http://www.flickr.com/ . The first time I saw this site, was last year, when a friend told me that she had her photos on flickr, and she explained it to me. It's a site about photos, but not any photos, they're artistic photos. Different amateurs photographers, upload their best photos to the web. You can find the photos divided by topics, like nature, the city, people, cars, architecture, etc.

You can find “the photo of the week”, and also one calendar per month, with very good images for each day.

Also, you can have an account and up your own photos. I don’t have an account yet, because I don’t have good photos at the moment. I bought my camera this year on June, si I’m very new in this hobby.

It’s very entertaining to surf on this site, looking about different kind of photos of a lot of topics. So, visit this website ¡

LIFE MAP OF FRANCISCO LETELIER

This is a summary of Grancisco Letelier"s life.

When he was very young, he had an accident, and that was his first earlist memory. Then ,when he was a child, his favorite room in his house was "the sitting room", because in that place he could play, eat and watch TV with his brothers. As a child, the first person that really admired was his grandfather, because he was very sweet and they were together planty of time. Talking about some of his life experience, the most interesting place that he had been, was India, he say that it is a very different place with a strange culture, but beatiful places. Other way, the most strangest thing that he have done , was sing on a crusier.

Looking back on his life, the biggest success he had, is entered studing Architecture on our University, and the biggest oportunity that he missed was study medicine in argentina. About the present, in his spending time, he like to be with his friends, and he enjoy dancing. In the future, he want to change some things abuot his personality, but step by step.

My favorite song in this moment

RIHANNA - PON DE REPLAY

The first time that I heard this song was in June of this year, in a club on Prague, in Check Republic. Immediately a like a lot, especially the rhythm, is like black people music, and in the club there are a lot of black people dancing. The way of dance of the black people are really cool, I like a lot there movements. And I always remember the scene of these guys dancing this song on the club.

The other reason that I like this song is the original lyric, different from the others that talk about love and relations, which I don’t like too much. This one talk about the dancing floor of a club, that includes the people dancing, the DJ, and the movements. But the lyric is not really important in this song; the most important is the rhythm, that is very sticky for everyone.

Also, I like the singer, her name is Rhianna, and recently her music is playing in Chile.
